Can it be operated by battery?
The pvClean can be operated by battery. This the dry cleaning solution. To reach good cleaning quality we recommend using water.
We offer 3 different types of pvClean robot:
- STANDARD (wet cleaning),
- DRY (dry cleaning)
- COMBI (wet and dry cleaning)
Which is the operation time of the battery?
The operation time of the battery is approx. 1.5 - 2 hours
The operator is needed always or can the robot learn and clean the panels to itself?
A person is always needed to operate the remote control.
Is the robot interfaced with a server?
No.
Does the robot gives any indication when there is a repair or when any components goes bad?
No. The pvClean is not a hightech robot.
If there is salt water / under ground water which is salty, will this robot works?
You can use normal water but surely the cleaning quality it’s better using demineralized water.
What should be done if any parts clog due to water scaling?
We have spare parts to send and the robot has a simple construction, which allows you to do the reparation by yourself.
Are any descaling allowed chemicals to be used with the cleaning robot?
You can use descaling chemicals, but you must be sure that these chemicals left no spots on the
PV-module (panels) and the PU-hose be not damaged.
How long can it be operated continuously?
If you use the supply hose you can work permanently.
Which is the max. outside temperature under the robot can works?
Max. 50°
What are the frequent service issues we can expect?
Wear and tear parts should be inspected by yourself every 2-3 months e.g. ball bearings, damper. Generally the machine has a high reliability.
How much time will it takes to assemble the product?
Mounting the brushes on the robot can take approx. 10 seconds. The rest of the robot is assembled.
Is crane compulsory for positioning the robot on the PV moldule installation?
The pvClean does not need any crane. It’s placed manually on the panel.
What is the impact of the robot if used on the partially cracked PV module (surface)?
The robot weighs 30 kg, less than a worker. The cleaning company has to know in advance if the installation is damaged and judge for themselves if they want to clean the installation. For this purpose we recommend the customer to take out an insurance to cover damages during cleaning. We assume no liability whatsoever.
What is the guarantee for this product?
Our robots have 12 months guarantee. We offer the possibility to extend the guarantee against payment. Damages caused by incorrect use or incorrect handling of the robot are not covered by the guarantee.
What is the failure rate, what is the meantime before failure?
There’s no failure rate.
Which is the lifetime of the brush?
The brushes need to be changed after approx. 200'000 m2 of cleaning work.
Which is the expected lifetime of the robot?
10 years
How far can go the robot from the electrical and water supply ?
The supply hose has a length of 50 m. You can extend another 50 m by buying an additional extension hose.
Which are the robot dimensions?
Under “Specifications” on the website, you find the detailed technical information of the robot.
Which is the maximal allowed inclination for the application of pvClean robot?
The pvCleanrobot moves forwards on the pv-installation (panels) with a maximal inclination of 15°. The application of the robot on installations with higher inclination will cause the fall of the robot.
Is there a product with less weight than the pvClean?
Yes, the pvEco robot.
